I assu...I'm not sure what you mean by "pre-waxed." I assume you mean waxless skis with a textured grip zone. Waxless skis work well in a lot of conditions, but best in warm/wet/changing snow conditions you'd get out in the Cascades. In northern MN it tends to be and stay cold so waxable skis work better.
