Dog Gone Ride this weekend

Just a quick post today. Sunday is looking good for a gravel grinder. I'm thinking about doing a route that I did before TI where I was chased by, at least, 30 dogs. Up to 5 at a time. It'll probably be better with a group. Lots of hills and I might throw in an extra section down by Ledges just for fun. Eric and Nick are coming for sure, I think Cory knows about it, but everybody's welcome (sorry I didn't get in touch with you last weekend Paul). I wanted to write more, but, you see, there was this bike race on TV that I just had to watch.

Do you think a guy could get away with a single speed on this route. Not sure if I want to gear up my commuter just for this.

Guess who woke up Wednesday to a flat tire? It was the slimed tire and it doesn't seem to hold air for much more than a day. AHHHH!

If I go Sunday it will be on my singlespeed. It's kinda stupid, but so am I...sometimes. I say "if" because I spoke to Eric and he said something like 1pm. World Cup final is at 12:30 and I know I could record it and watch it later, but there is something connecting about watching it with millions of others. And it comes but once a four-year. I'll feel sorta extra bad because armparently Nick isn't going now and he seemed dissappointed about that and I'd hate to be another not going. Long comment, so not a comment really but a speech.

Cory, I've got another slimy tire for you if you want it. Yeah, we're riding at 1. I know it's late, not the time I like to ride. I'm going to watch the Tour in the morning though to get psyched. Why isn't Nick going to make it? I thought for sure he'd be there.

Dave, I'm jealous of you having mountains. I could sure go for a good fire-road ride. I can imagine that that stuff would be awesome on a Crosscheck.
